Bright Analysis is a research consultancy for sustainability and social change, established by Ryan Brightwell. Ryan is a sustainability analyst with over eight years’ experience as a sustainability practitioner.
Bright Analysis provides research, data analysis and written communications for publication or internal policy and decision-making, with clients in both the business and civil society sectors. In particular, we operate across four interlinked areas of expertise:
- sustainable finance, from policy development and ethical screening to impact investment and engagement;
- ethical consumerism, analysing consumer behaviour and drivers of ethical and sustainable consumption from food to energy and finance;
- energy & climate change, from examining regulations and lobbying on climate policy to campaigning on shale gas and tar sands;
- human rights & development, from the business impacts of human rights risk, to development and implementation of policy.
We are able to work together with a wide network of sustainability experts as well as communications and research professionals, to bring together a bespoke team to match your project’s requirements.
Since its establishment in September 2012, Bright Analysis has worked with clients including Ethical Consumer, Profundo, The Co-operative Group, The Co-operative Enterprise Hub and Leeds University. Ryan’s written articles have been featured in New Internationalist, Environmental Finance, Blue & Green Tomorrow, Co-operative News, and on the Friends of the Earth blog.
